I am an insurance broker, this is my day - AMA!

What does a standard day look like for you?
Good question! I start at home catching up on news and emails whilst getting ready for the day around 7 am.

A lot of what I do is managing relationships and deadlines, so this part of my day is really important to make sure I have all my priorities set and everyone who I need to speak to organised and happy.

From there I'll head into work and spend the first 2-3 hours answering my phone to my clients but mostly with my team - organising the day's top priorities. We have daily deadlines for businesses, and we have to make sure we have enough time to submit all our work to our insurers, and keep our clients in the loop.

My afternoon is usually filled with meetings, mostly with our larger agencies, referral partners and new clients.

Finally, I finish the day back with my team making sure we've knocked off all our required submissions and everyone is happy.
How many people work at your company?
There's 15 of us in our office. That consists of 7 full-time brokers, 4 assistants/junior brokers and 4 support staff.
